Locations: You can roleplay in either city boards, organised under the force they are owned by, or in generic areas, such as woodlands or a moutain as just two examples.
Tags: Tag your thread when you make one. [Open] means it is open to anyone to join, [Closed] represents a thread no one but those you specify should join, [Invite] or [Ask] indicates a thread you should first pm the thread starter and ask permission to join. Likewise force specific tags can be used to indicate anyone in those force can join eg. [Shu], [Wu], [Wei], [Liu Zhang] etc.
Fighting: Battles are not roleplayed on a tactical scale, instead battles are decided via your strategic positioning via your roleplaying. A Wei side actively roleplaying and pushing events and plot ideas that pressurise a Shu border are more likely to win a battle. If a battle is won you will know about it and you will be able to roleplay within the scene, being that one person amongst thousands and creating the finer details to the bigger picture. There are currently no plans to bring a tactical gameplay side of old back onto the site in its current format.
Scene ideas: Before you make any old thread, think about a unique, exciting or dramatic idea and go with it. Make something new whenever possible and not just go with the stereotypes of a "3 Kingdoms" site of yester-year. Murder, marriage, accidents, arguments, religious cults, mystery etc should all show themselves, not just a meeting with your superior officer. |
Networking: Forming relationships and plot ideas with other members and characters on the site. It incorporates discussing and creating plot networks and creating events, all found in the Command Station.
Why Network?: Networking allows you to engage with members you may not have done any other way. Many people are apprehensive or too shy to go around pming or adding people on an instant messenger. Having a list of relationships and discussing plot ideas with the public on the site enables a wider audience and therefore a wider potential for great ideas and moments.
Plot Networks are already up and they have no set templates for them, so have a look at them, figure them out and make your own if you feel up for it. Any issues feel free to pm a member of staff. |
