Shattered Legends is a story-based roleplaying game, based around ancient Chinese history novelized and known best through the book The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The site focuses around the story telling, the drama, politics, violence, and finer details of the era with twists and turns to the history along the way.
What makes Shattered Legends different to RTK sites of the past? The simple answer is nothing, but much in a strange way. We aim to give a full, honest, sometimes brutal representation of the times and the potential outcomes some scenarios may have otherwise become, whilst keeping the site dynamics and system simple to use and understand, without downgrading on creative availability.
Active staff, a loyal member base, and an event system that should give plenty of action and talking points for your roleplays should give plenty of opportunities. |
No Spamming - The act of posting messages not relevant to the subject matter. We want all OOC to have the posts within relevant to their subjects. I don't want an argument breaking out with that hilariously witty 'U MAD??!' face. As much as it splits my ribs in two through sheer hilarity, it still classifies as spam in our eyes...
No Flaming/Trolling - Flaming is to have an ooc argument, whilst trolling is to intentionally start an ooc argument. Let's have common sense here; trolling is worse than flaming, but in either case we will act accordingly. Bicker via pms, no one else needs to see your ego trips bouncing off one another like a game of pong.
No Powerplaying/Metagaming - The act of having your character be virtually invincible. Few like defeat, but far fewer like a sore loser. If you must fight within character, then please do so in a sporting manner with one another and enjoy the story and scene, rather than the need to always win.
Writing - Writing should be enjoyable and rewarding to you personally more than anyone else. Concentrate on quality, rather than quantity and ignore the typecasts. Third person is recommended for roleplays, however flashbacks, memories, letters and many others may be more applicable for first or second person.
Use an OOC Account – Make sure you have an ooc account for which to be known by. It should not have a character attached to it, instead characters you wish to play as should be given their own separate accounts. The reason being will become more clear as you engage with the site.
Loopholes - To find away around the rules, or exploit something not covered in the rules, which is clearly unsporting. In all walks of life we have those people who love other people's misery. Loopholes will not be permitted to happen on this site, if we have not added a rule that you know should be, please let us know, as troublemakers will not be around for long. |
