ABOUT THE CHARACTER
Name: Li Wang "Èyùn" (Doom) Age: 30 Gender: Male Style: Original Residence: Shou Chun
THE PERSONALITY
Li Wang is a warrior to the core, though his exact philosophy on the subject of war is... complicated. He believes in using violence as a means of diplomacy, but at the same time believes it would be immoral to involve innocents in the machinations of war if it could be avoided. If it cannot, however, he will have no qualms, make no mistake. Right or wrong, he will stand with and support his friends and allies to the very end, which has already happened thrice.
Outside of war, Eyun is a respectful enough man, taking after the example presented by honorable warriors such as his uncle Li Huang (who perished at Sishui gate) and elder brother Li Bao (slain at Chang’an) rather than his uncle Li Jue. He is convinced, however, that no man is better suited to this world than he himself, a sentiment which causes him to seethe with jealousy and ambition when hearing of the accomplishments of other warriors. Wang seeks to cut his own path through the chaos, and now, as the last survivor of his family, he is beginning to wonder if he should remain in Wei or if he should seek his fame elsewhere.
THE APPEARANCE
Li Wang is a taller man with an officers lithe physique. His demeanor is calm and collected at most times, reflecting his calculating view of the world (this doesn't come from an abundance of intelligence of which he does not possess, but rather from sheer determination to survive and achieve fame). His hair is kept short and out of his eyes excepting a long, thin braid which trails down his back all the way to his hips. As for his eyes, they are a light grey, but if you look close enough, you can see the anguish at being the last survivor of his once proud family.
THE HISTORY
Li Wang was born in Liang to Li Gan years prior to the Yellow Turban Rebellion. From a young age, Wang was instructed in the martial arts by his father and his uncle Huang, living only to fight and to succeed. By the time he was 13, Wang was judged proficient enough to accompany his father to the battlefield with Dong Zhuo's forces, and partook in the battle against the Qiang rebels. His father was killed in the battle, but Wang and his brother Bao continued to fight alongside their Uncle Jue. The Lis continued to served Dong Zhuo during the coalition. When Dong Zhuo was killed, Wang remained the only Li in Chang’an, as Li Jue and Li Bao happened to be away from the city battling Zhu Jun. With Lu Bu and Wang Yun in control of the city (and unwilling to forgive Li Jue), Wang began to fear for his own life, but, thankfully, Xu Rong and Hu Zhen were dispatched to defeat Li Jue, and Wang joined Hu Zhen’s contingent, knowing that he would side with Li Jue. Wang was correct, and was able to rejoin his brother and uncle. Wang was present for the duel between Lu Bu and Guo Si, and was the man who rescued Guo Si when he became wounded by Lu Bu.
During Li Jue’s control of the Emperor, Wang and his cousin Li Li became sworn brothers, since after the death of Li Bao during the siege of Chang’an Li Wang was quite alone. He accompanied Li to combat Liu Yan, where the brothers Li asked Fan Chou to pursue Han Sui but were refused. They reported this to Guo Si, who had Fan Chou assassinated. During the conflict between Li Jue and Guo Si, Wang distinguished himself by winning several small skirmishes for the Li faction.
When Chang’an was attacked, Li Wang fought, but to no avail; there were simply too many enemies. So, he fled, and was presumed dead for a time until he rendezvoused with and joined Lu Bu’s forces. When Xiapi fell to Cao Cao’s forces, Wang, not wishing to surrender to Cao Cao, snuck through the siege and fled to Wu, where he has since served as a loyal officer under Han Dang.
