Ok so I'll need a couple of characters to keep my character (Madame Zhen) active and set my original plot in motion. Ohh lets just say that I would like at least six characters? Hehe, alright I know I may be asking for much but I'll just post up the characters that I have in mind and if anyone wants to take any of them you may feel to do so. I came up with their plots according to the year and Shattered Legend's plot so here they are-----
Madame Bian
Rank: Consort
Title: -
Historical Age: 55
Originally a courtesan within a brothel, Madame Bian was taken in by Cao Cao as his concubine at the age of 19. She bore him four sons—Cao Pi, Cao Zhang, Cao Zhi, and Cao Xiong. When Cao Cao fled from Dong Zhuo at Luoyang, Yuan Shu began to spread rumors of his death and Cao Cao's followers wanted to leave the city.
Madame Bian however refused to believe them and persuaded his followers not desert him. Upon his return, Cao Cao became very impressed at her conduct. Consequently, Cao Cao displaced his first wife, Madame Ding and made Madame Bian his next principle wife, giving her the task of raises all of his children whose mothers had died.
Madame Bian is a very wise woman of virtue and a model mother figure. She is strict with her children and never fails in raising them right. Cao Zhi is her current favorite son but she treats all of her children with the same care. Madame Bian also shares a very close bond with her daughter-in-law, Madame Zhen. The bond they have almost seems endless and in return, Madame Zhen remains to be a devoted and filial daughter-in-law.
Rank: General
Title: -
Historical Age: 28
The third son of the famed Cao Cao and the eldest son born from his father's favorite concubine, Madame Bian. Out of all his brothers, Cao Pi is perhaps the most shrewd. Since he lacked the strength of his brother's Cao Zhang and the talent of Cao Zhi, Cao Pi was always in the presence of court officials in order to get their support. His older brother Cao Ang, having died earlier, Cao Pi was now the oldest son of Cao Cao, and his mother Madame Bian was now Cao Cao's wife, making Cao Pi the presumptive heir of Cao Cao.
This status, however, was not immediately made legal, and for years Cao Cao had lingering doubts on who he wanted to make his heir because he greatly favored a younger son of his, also by Madame Bian -- Cao Zhi, who was known for his literary talents; while Cao Pi was a talented poet, Cao Zhi was even higher regarded as a poet and speaker. Cao Pi and his brother Cao Zhi are on the surface in concord but each having his set of associates, fighting with each other under the surface.
His associates include, the strategist Jia Xu, the manipulative Sima Yi and the brave General Zhang Liao. Having been forced to put his feud with his brother on hold, Cao Pi was ordered to go north with his brother Cao Zhang and his mentor Sima Yi because the Xianbei Confederacy has invaded the northern lands. Yuan Shao is in charge of the defense of Hebei but with the past of conquering his city, can Yuan Shao be fully trusted?
(note: Cao Pi is not yet the crown prince. He and Cao Zhi are the strongest contenders for their father's position. Cao Cao must decided on whom to make his heir. Oh! And I know Cao Pi is already taken by someone. You don't have to follow this specific plot.)
Cao Zhi
Rank: General
Title: -
Historical Age: 23
One of China's Greatest lyric poet if not the best of his time. Cao Zhi is the third son of the famous general Cao Cao and Madame Bian also the younger brother of Cao Pi. Born into a family of poets, the verses of Cao Cao and Cao Pi were widely known. However, Cao Zhi's talents quickly surpassed those of his father and brother. Indeed, Cao Cao was so impressed with him that he along with his elder brother Cao Pi are currently the strongest contenders for their father's position.
Romantic and care-free however, Cao Zhi is an impetuous man with little self-discipline and also a heavy drinker. These characteristics are what contribute to Cao Cao's doubt of making him heir and his elder brother's bitter rivalry, even though he never expressed interest in contending for heirship. Added to Cao Pi’s resentment of Cao Zhi is the fact that Cao Zhi had fallen in love with the beautiful Madame Zhen, the woman who later became the consort of his elder brother.
Cao Zhi has been recently been made the Earl of Linzi. Before his father marched off to wage war against Sun Quan in what would be known as the Battle of Chibi, Cao Zhi was ordered to guard the important city of Ye. The rout of Cao Cao's million strong forces in the Battle of Chibi would seal the fate of Cao Zhi and set the love tragedy into motion. With the Xianbei Confederacy invading Hebei, Cao Zhi was sent to aid Yuan Shao in its defense.
(note: Cao Zhi would perhaps be better as a sort of minstrel for the army instead of its general. With his drinking habits and wanton ways, many point to Cao Pi as the heir. Although this can be changed if Cao Zhi better his habits.)
Yuan Xi
Rank: General
Title: -
Historical Age: 43
Yuan Xi is the second son of Yuan Shao by his concubine, Madame Zhang and brother to Yuan Tan and Yuan Shang. Due to his rather displeasing looks, Yuan Shao looked down upon him in comparison to his younger brother, Yuan Shang and elder brother, Yuan Tan. Due to this, Yuan Shao obtained the northern beauty Madame Zhen to become his wife. However they were separated from each other a year later when we was sent to become the Governor of You Province.
Cao Cao launched an attack from Liyang and routed Yuan Shang's army from Ye to relief Yuan Tan, causing Yuan Shang to seek refuge with Yuan Xi in You Province. During his stay, a mutiny broke out, and the two two brothers were then forced to flee to their father's side. Learning of Yuan Shao's defeat at Cangting, the Yuan brothers had no choice but to accept defeat.
Cao Cao had taken all their land and ended the war in Northern China, or so Cao Cao thinks. Living with the high insult and embarrassment of having his wife being married off to the son of Cao Cao, the weak but intelligent Yuan Xi, has decided to toughen up and aid his father in regaining control in the north under the Yuan name and regain his Madame Zhen who is still legally his wife only by status now.
Madame Liu
Rank: Concubine
Title: -
Historical Age: 61
If a woman in her era had no other choice but to be a victim of circumstance, Madame Liu was not the woman to have it. She is the intelligent but cruel wife of Yuan Shao and mother of Yuan Shang. Madame Liu of course favored her own son Yuan Shang and supported her husband's lingering decision on making their son his heir. Although it is presumably the eldest son who succeeds the father, Yuan Tan could not do anything to change the outcome when he rushed back from Qing Province. Now that the jealous Madame Liu held power, she slayed a number of Yuan Shao's concubines and had them disfigured.
After Cao Cao annexed the Yuan's headquarters in Ye, Madame Liu was taken prisoner along with Madame Zhen who was her daughter-in-law at the time. Instead of dying honorably, she chose to save her self by offering Madame Zhen to Cao Cao as a maid. If not for her daughter-in-law's beauty, they probably would have encountered a different fate. Madame Liu however, was treated generously by Cao Cao and he awarded her all the food and jewels to her content. After a certain time, she was allowed to be reunited with her son and husband and Cao Cao had a number of guards to escort her safely to her family.
Madame Liu lived with Yuan Shao and his sons driftly but when she lost her beloved Yuan Shang at the Battle of Chibi, she shared the same resentment for Cao Cao of that of her husband. Madame Liu is the one behind the strings of Yuan Shao's plot of restoring the north. She is the one spurring her husband into action in an act of vengeance and also the one encouraging Yuan Xi to attack and reclaim his former wife. Talk about a dangerous woman....
(note: Madame Liu could care less about Madame Zhen as she demonstrated above. It may be because she is jealous of her youth and beauty.
