THE PERSONALITY
Lady Ren is known to have the personality of her father and brothers, being she is always fighting or at least trying to keep her brothers alive; being Sun Ce always rushes out and leaves himself open for attack sometimes. Which means that Lady Ren would help Zhou Yu, to save him, or any over member of her family that happened to get into trouble? She thinks the world of her brothers, and would even die for them, if it would allow them to live on in the Kingdoms name. She herself, is kind and caring person, but still holds a lot of the traits that her father had. Which works alongside the ones she got from her mother, being able to use both, is something she counts on most days of her life. Now being the queen of Shu, she still keeps and maintains her loyalty to the Sun famiy and Wu aswell as Shu.
THE APPEARANCE
Lady Ren strays from the general lifestyle of a queen of Shu taking her beauty onto the battlefield. She is trained in the arts of war, adorned in armor, which is a sharp contrast to her unscarred, fair skin, which in Western culture is a sign of royalty. Lady Ren's armour is a cross between that of a warrior yet still holds some of her feminine nature, which can be seen as the contrast between the breastplate, pauldrons, and gauntlets she wears in comparison the her armor that connects into a skirt, similar to the bottom half of a Chinese dress cut short for a greater range of motion.
Lady Ren's breastplate, pauldrons and gauntlets are all of similar nature being metal painted in a single solid shade of red with trim and bands of gold. Lady Ren's breastplate is connected directly to a skirt of cloth, coloured in a fashion similar to her armor, red with trim in gold, though there exists a slight difference being that the gold trim on the red dress leads into a solid white on the sides, the dress having a slit up the left leg leading up to the thigh. Even the breastplate has a sense of femininity, accentuating her breasts in solid iron cups with a space between the breastplate and the pauldrons showing skin, though the breastplate and pauldrons are connected by a strip of leather, holding the armor together into a single piece.
About Lady Ren's waist is a belt made of leather and adorned with squares of gold, a blue ribbon tied about the front of the belt, the belt holding her skirt in close to her perfectly proportioned body. Lady Ren's hair is a dark brown, silky even though she often visits the battlefield with a length just several inches beyond her shoulders, bound into a single pony tail at the back of her head, and since in the action upon the battlefield loose strands of hair could easily obscure one’s vision.
Upon Lady Ren is a tiara of solid gold with a single stone in the front of the tiara the stone a bright sky blue, similar stones hang from her pierced ears in the form of earrings. Lady Ren also has a single hairpin of gold in her hair with three white painted flowers upon it, attached just above her right ear.
Similar to her dark brown hair Lady Ren almond-shaped eyes are also a dark brown. Shang Xiang’s favored weapons in combat are the sword and a Bow at range, her combat techniques along with her armor show that she tends more towards speed rather than pure strength.
THE HISTORY
Born in 189 to the famed Sun family, she is the daughter of Sun Jian, the Tiger of Jiangdong and sister to her two older brothers, Sun Ce and Sun Quan. Being the youngest however, she spent most of her time within the palace and training persistantly in her quarters against her lady maids who wore armor so she had someone to practice with while her family went out to fight.
She dearly loved her father and her brothers and wished she could help them but she was too young and still had alot to learn. Her father had told them all about his feats against the pirates of Jiangdong and part of the Yellow Turban Rebellion and watched her brother Ce and father march with the alliance against Dong Zhuo yet she stayed behind. She wasn't alone since she had Quan with her.
Shortly after the Coalition collapsed, Yuan Shu requested aid from Sun Jian to attack Liu Biao. Sun Jian answered the request but came home badly injured from an ambush attack by Huang Zu. With his injuries, and left command to Sun Ce, passing on the Ancestral sword which had been passed down from generations. Shang Xiang wanted to help but Ce was protective but did train with her more.
Sun Ren is the daughter of Sun Jian and youngest sibling of the famed Sun family. In 209 she was wed to Liu Bei to strengthen the Sun-Liu alliance. This has been only somewhat successful. Sun Ren is loved by Liu Bei but is sometimes met with suspicious eyes, especially from incredibly loyal officers like Zhao Yun and Guan Yu. Sun Ren faithfully cares for Liu Bei's child, Liu Shan, and takes care of his household when he is away.
Despite this motherly role, Sun Ren retains her fiery attitude, and has over 100 female attendants, all armed and deadly. It is a common joke that even Liu Bei is sometimes afraid to visit her. Unlike other Queens, Sun Ren is an avid hunter, a sport mainly retained for the males of dynasties. She is a capable fighter and, along with her beauty, this makes her tremendously popular among her people.
